Application Summary

Your employees can begin entering requests with little or no training. Self service requests are created by placing items in a shopping cart. Your employees can browse catalogs, order from a shopping list or copy an earlier request. One-time products can be described on the request. Kits can also be ordered. Components of the kit can be both purchased and inventoried items.

General ledger accounts are derived automatically based on your employee’s position within the organization and the types of products selected. You can also establish budgets and limit requests to remaining budget amounts.

As your employee “shops” the system displays the total value of the items in the cart. This value is estimated using the last purchase price, last issue price or the current contract price of the item. When the request is complete the employee is guided through a simple check out process. Delivery instructions and notes to the buyer can be entered at this point along with special requests (e.g. preferred supplier, request for quote, and request for drop shipment).

Your employee will be notified by e-mail when the request has been approved and when the goods have been issued from stock. A “request status inquiry” presents a view of all open requests. The supplier and promised delivery date can be viewed for each item.
